I get asked all the time how I make these crazy pumpkins, and I made a video in 1997 and 1998 just to share what I know. Now that I have this digital camera, I thought the time was right to make a special section on my web page to do something similar.
A friend of mine suggested making a pumpkin portrait of Egar Allen Poe, and I liked the idea. After all, what would Halloween be without The Raven, The Telltale Heart, The Pit and the Pendulum, The Fall of the House of Usher, and the list goes on.
The next 18 pages show the steps I go through to produce a pumpkin portrait, using Edgar Allen Poe.
